Most dog photographers hand you a USB drive or a download link and wish you well. You open the folder, feel overwhelmed by hundreds of images, think about printing something, and never quite get around to it.
That is not what happens here.
Kindred Canine is built entirely around finished, display-ready artwork — because the point was never the photograph. The point was always the portrait on your wall. The album on your coffee table. The thing you reach for with your eyes every single day.
Every session includes an in-person reveal and design appointment, where you see your images large — on screen, sized to your actual walls — before deciding on anything. No guessing. No hoping a digital file looks good once it's printed. You see it first. Then you choose.
It costs more than a folder of files. It is also the difference between photos you have and art you live with.
What you receive is not just a photograph. It is a piece of fine art that tells the truth about your dog — and about the love between you. That is a story worth telling beautifully.
Your investment, explained simply
Your session begins with a $400 sitting fee, due at booking. This covers your planning call with Caitlin, the full portrait session (approximately 1-2 hours, on location), and your private in-person reveal and design appointment afterward.
The sitting fee is not a deposit toward your artwork. It is the cost of Caitlin's time, expertise, and the complete session experience — regardless of what you choose at your reveal.
After your session, you and Caitlin meet to view your portraits for the first time. You will see your images large —curated, gallery ready, and presented with care.
This is where most clients get a little emotional.
From there, you select the finished artwork that belongs in your home —wall pieces, heirloom albums, fine art prints — with Caitlin's guidance throughout. Nothing is decided until you have seen everything.
Artwork is priced separately from the sitting fee and selected entirely at your reveal appointment.
Most Kindred Canine clients invest 2000-3000 in their finished pieces.
